I am a first generation Mexican-American multidisciplinary artist whose work is inspired by both the American urban sprawl and the Mexican village life of my extended family. My first-hand bi-cultural experience has conditioned my perspective and influenced how I use color and composition in my work.

My work explores how ideas begin to take form in our minds, and aims to capture moments in thought between nothingness to that clear idea in the imagination. Using sculpture, painting, collage, projection mapping and sound, I build physical adaptations that use both artificial and natural light to show how ideas are always in motion. The goal of my work is for the viewer to consider how light, sound, language and other elements come together to create an idea, and how it changes over time.

I completed my MFA degree in Studio Arts at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Currently, I reside in East Los Angeles, CA, where I actively pursue my career as an artist.
